Attorney Ruy Mireles
My family is originally from Monterrey, Mexico and I got passionate about being an attorney since my grandfather was a judge in Monterrey, Mexico. I was born in Canada when my father was doing his medical residency in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I grew up in McAllen, Texas and I attended Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School from kindergarten to 8th grade.
I graduated from McAllen Memorial High School in 2001. Then I received my bachelors degree from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas in Business Administration and International Business in 2005. I built a construction company called Mireles Investments from 2007-2010 where I would build spec homes. I decided to pursue my legal career in 2010 and I graduated from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2013. Thereafter, in 2014, I received my Masters of Law from the University of Texas at Austin in Global Energy, Environment and International Arbitration.
Once I graduated from my Masters of Law, I worked for a defense law firm named Hornblower, Manning, Ward, Harrison and Rodriguez and we practice commercial defense litigation. Then I moved back to McAllen and worked at Gonzalez Castillo, LLP where they specialized in Medical Malpractice defense. After working on the defense side for about 4 years, I decided to represent injured victims and I joined the Law Offices of Mario Davila, PLLC. I opened up Ruy Mireles Law Firm, PLLC in 2018 and continue to represent injured victims in pursuit to acquire full justice for their injuries.
